As the company continues expanding, they are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function, strengthen financial reporting, and partner closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented Controller to join GlobalTeam and work directly with our client.

This role is responsible for leading the company's accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, improving accounting processes, and providing financial insights that support executive decision-making.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in multi-entity accounting environments, enjoys building scalable financial processes, and can confidently collaborate with executive leadership, external auditors, lenders, and accounting teams in a fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and executive reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures.

Multi-Entity Accounting

• Manage accounting operations across multiple business entities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and oversee allocation methodologies.
• Ensure consistency across departments and business units.

Cash Flow & Financial Planning

• Monitor cash flow and liquidity across all entities.
• Support cash forecasting and working capital management.
• Maintain banking relationships and oversee debt schedules and lender reporting.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting and rolling forecasts.

Financial Analysis & Process Improvement

• Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare KPI dashboards and variance analyses.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax-related activities.
• Lead accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP optimization.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team while driving operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
• Experience managing accounting for companies with $25M-$150M in annual revenue.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Bonus Points For

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience supporting private equity-backed or entrepreneur-owned businesses.
• Background in automotive, retail, franchise, or multi-location service organizations.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience leading remote accounting teams.
• Experience managing banking relationships, debt reporting, and lender compliance.
