Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse for a night shift position located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The candidate will provide specialized care in a high acuity cardiac PICU, managing patients with complex cardiac conditions such as open heart surgeries and transplants. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Shift: 12-hour nights; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation; holiday rotation occurs every other week
• Required Qualifications: ASN or BSN; BSN preferred; WI or Compact RN license; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; 12 - 18 months of independent nursing experience in high acuity cardiac PICU required; Level I Trauma experience highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• Additional Information: Use critical thinking and cardiac assessments to provide nursing care for cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients, including those with open heart surgeries, heart transplants, and open chests. Flu vaccine required or willing to obtain.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to NICU and PICU as needed.
• Education: ASN or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Start Date: 06/08/2026
• Experience: 0 to 18 months of independent nursing in high-acuity cardiac PICU.
