Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who can keep weekly payroll running smoothly, support employee records management, and partner closely with Human Resources and leadership teams. The Ideal candidate will have three or more years of end-to-end payroll processing in Paylocity for over 200 employees. Manufacturing, Agriculture or Distribution industry a plus. Payroll operations during seasonal peaks preferred. Human Resources or Benefits operations is a plus.

• Pay Range: $26-$28/hour DOE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process weekly payroll accurately and efficiently, including regular hours, overtime, deductions, and adjustments
• Manage high-volume weekly payroll for 250-500 employees, depending on season and operational needs
• Support payroll operations that significantly increase during peak agricultural season
• Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and all state/federal regulations
• Scan, upload, and maintain payroll and employment records in Paylocity
• Generate, review, and audit payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized employee and payroll filing systems
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees with payroll-related questions
• Collaborate with HR, dispatch, billing, and management to support daily operations
• Support additional administrative and office tasks as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of payroll and human resources operations experience (required)
• Strong knowledge of weekly payroll processing and payroll regulations
• Experience with Paylocity (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reporting, data entry)
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
