AP Specialist

LaSalle Network is partnering with a growing organization in Glenwood, IL to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position, along with a flexible hybrid schedule.


The selected candidate will be on site Monday-Friday during the first month for training and onboarding. Once training is successfully completed, the role will transition to a hybrid schedu le o f one day onsite per week with the remaining days working remotely.



Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
  
  
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
  
  
• Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
  
  
• Enter and maintain invoice data within the accounting system
  
  
• Process ACH, check, and other vendor payments
  
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
  
  
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances
  
  
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP reconciliations
  
  
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with new vendor setup
  
  
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  
  
• Support the accounting team with additional AP-related projects as needed

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
  
  
• Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle
  
  
• Experience processing a high volume of invoices
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  
  
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred
