Position Title Assistant to Commissioner Baker Location Telework: Hybrid Job Type Permanent, Full Time Salary $3,861.00 - $6,276.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date 9/18/2026 Working Conditions This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Job Description The Office of Commissioner Baker is seeking an Analyst I to join its team. Under the direction of the Commissioner and the Commissioner’s Chief of Staff, the Analyst I performs, evaluates, and coordinates a broad range of administrative duties while also working closely with other Commission staff, agencies, groups, and individuals regarding the coordination of departmental activities in order to maintain the efficient and effective operation of the Commissioner’s office. The position will independently manage multiple workstreams relating to budget, regulatory compliance activities, and other internal logistics. They will be responsible for a broad range of responsibilities, requiring initiative, discretion, and diligence. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement. Desirable Qualifications Previous experience as an executive assistant or similar role that manages budgets, calendars and external communications. Ability to communicate complex topics in written and oral form. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
