Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who likes to take something with untapped potential and grow it? BrightStar Care is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to develop and grow our presence in Mercer County, NJ, a territory with real potential that hasn't been fully worked, connecting families and healthcare providers with premium home care solutions.

Sales & Business Development Manager is a development role. The territory and brand are established, but the referral network is underworked and ready to be built out properly. It combines inside and outside sales, requiring community engagement and direct outreach to develop referral partnerships.

What You'll Do

• Build out and deepen referral partnerships with hospitals, senior living communities, physician offices, and local organizations to generate consistent referrals.
• Develop an underworked territory by reviving dormant referral sources and cultivating new ones.
• Conduct inside and outside sales, balancing office-based relationship management with field-based outreach and networking.
• Manage the full sales cycle by identifying leads, nurturing relationships, and closing through a consultative, relationship-focused approach.
• Engage in community outreach by representing BrightStar Care at networking events, health fairs, and professional associations to build brand awareness.
• Drive market growth by uncovering new opportunities, expanding share in an underpenetrated market, and building strong client retention.
• Provide trusted solutions by educating potential clients on home care services, funding options, and care planning.

Who We're Looking For

• Proven success developing an underperforming or underpenetrated territory, comfortable with cold and warm outreach to build a referral base.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with families, referral partners, and healthcare professionals.
• A developer's mindset. You see an underdeveloped territory as opportunity, not a problem.
• Experience in healthcare sales, senior living, or home care is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable with both inside and outside sales, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and digital outreach.
• Excellent communication and consultative sales skills with the ability to educate, build trust, and close.
• Highly motivated self-starter who works independently while staying part of a collaborative team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Year One: $95,000 guaranteed base salary, no commission. Your first year is a fully funded build year. We take the income risk off the table so you can focus entirely on developing the territory and establishing the referral relationships that drive long-term success, without pressure to close on day one.
• Year Two and beyond: $85,000 base plus 3% commission . Once your territory is established, you shift to a model where the referral base you built starts paying out, with no ceiling on what you can earn.
