Summary
The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst ensures a high-integrity AP environment through strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and data-driven performance management. This role builds dashboards, KPIs, and analytics that improve efficiency, accuracy, and vendor satisfaction while driving compliance across policies, regulations, and audit requirements. Works closely with Procurement, Accounting, Treasury, and Audit to strengthen AP operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead internal and external audit support
• Ensure compliance with approval workflows, vendor master data standards, and payment authorization rules
• Perform control testing and risk assessments; identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
• Build and maintain AP dashboards and scorecards (cycle times, aging, exceptions, accuracy)
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual AP performance reporting to Finance leadership
• Analyze trends to identify bottlenecks, root causes, and improvement opportunities
• Partner with IT/Finance Systems to enhance reporting tools and data integrity
• Define, track, and refine AP KPIs
• Lead performance reviews and recommend operational improvements
• Support automation initiatives to reduce manual work and increase accuracy
• Document processes and maintain SOPs for AP compliance and reporting
• Serve as AP's primary contact for audit, compliance, and financial systems teams

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience plus 4+ years AP experience in a mid-to-large organization
• Strong understanding of AP/GL systems, financial chart of accounts, and internal controls
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience ( SAP preferred )
• Solid understanding of AP-related compliance and control principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI
• Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes
• Exposure to basic project management practices
