Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating experience across multiple surgical service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics.

Details

13-week assignment in the Operating Room department

Day shift schedule from 06:30-15:00

Flexible RNs needed to work across multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgeries

Weekend shifts required

On-call participation required as scheduled

Requirements

Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA only

Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required

Nursys verification required within 30 days of start

Computer skills for utilizing patient care documentation programs

Additional Information

Perform circulating duties including operating room preparation, patient positioning, and Safe Surgery checklist verification

Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families

Delegate, supervise, and evaluate other team members while executing immediate interventions in urgent situations

Assist with control and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment

Demonstrate proficiency working within or outside the sterile field as assigned
