Warehouse Team Lead

Edwards Genesee location address: 6685 Crosby Rd, Basom, NY 14013. Salary Range: $33.78–$42.23. Compensation may vary outside this range depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Your Role The Warehouse Leader will provide direction for all material handling or assembly operations within the Genesee Product Company Warehouse for their designated team. This includes operations in receiving, put‑away, and outgoing distribution. Responsible for following all safety policies while maintaining and promoting a safety‑first attitude throughout the product company. Conducts annual performance reviews for the team. Approves timecards for the team in the timekeeping system. Provides leadership and mentors the team to promote a positive morale and attitude. Maintains a good working relationship with department colleagues and the supporting departments. Promotes the level of quality expected from our customers, both internal and external, working closely with the Quality group. Maintains and supports established warehousing systems and assists in continuous process improvements. Provides and supports training for warehouse employees. Assists in the coordination of freight services, satisfying all customer requirements. Ensures all system transactions are timely and accurate. Other duties as required or assigned. To Succeed Education Level: Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Relevant Previous Experience: Minimum 5 years in distribution and warehousing with 3 to 5 years of team leader experience. Solid experience with computerized ERP programs – SAP experience beneficial. Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing Lean practices in an operations environment. Strong communication skills. Forklift certification preferred. Physical Demands This role involves frequent manual handling and movement in potentially variable environments, requiring sustained physical effort. Hand and Finger Use/Dexterity: Uses hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls continually or almost continually (74% of the time), with manual dexterity for grasping and manipulating items. Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Frequently moves, transports, positions, or removes objects, often requiring exertion of force (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more for bags or drums); involves static and dynamic strength for pushing, pulling, or carrying. Standing/Walking: Remains in an upright stationary position or traverses distances continually (23% of the time for standing) or frequently, including balancing and coordinating multiple limbs. Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Positions self by bending, twisting, or stretching the body about half the time (45%), requiring extent flexibility and trunk strength for repeated support without fatigue. Repetitive Motions: Performs repetitive actions continually or almost continually (45% of the time), demanding stamina for prolonged physical activity. Other Environmental Factors: Frequently exposed to extreme temperatures, weather, contaminants, or noise; wears protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety shoes) daily (80% of the time).
