Inventory Analyst

Job Title: Inventory Control Analyst (3PL & Compliance Focus)

Role Overview
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to manage and reconcile finished goods inventory across our network of corporate systems and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% inventory accuracy by auditing source documentation, resolving electronic data interchange (EDI) transaction errors, and tracking inventory statuses (Available, Blocked, and Quality Assurance). Additionally, you will play a critical role in inventory compliance, executing corporate and regulatory product holds, withdrawals, and tracking processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong data reconciliation skills who can clearly communicate discrepancies to external partners and internal business units.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Reconciliation & System Integrity
• Data Matching: Perform comprehensive inventory reconciliations between internal ERP systems (SAP) and external 3PL warehouse management systems.
• Transaction Management: Accurately post shipments, receipts, inventory balances, and adjustments; execute precise month-end closing procedures within established deadlines.
• EDI Error Resolution: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve automated EDI transmission errors and identify data flow gaps to reduce transaction friction.
• Order Tracking: Audit unshipped or unreceived orders to guarantee customer invoices are compiled accurately and posted in a timely manner.

Compliance, Holds & Risk Management
• Regulatory Holds: Act as the primary point of contact for executing corporate, quality assurance, and regulatory (FDA) inventory holds across all third-party facilities, ensuring secure processing and timely releases.
• Product Disposition: Oversee the legal disposition and destruction of designated products, ensuring compliance with corporate cost parameters, maintaining complete documentation, and reconciling financial accounts.
• Traceability Support: Support corporate trace-and-track initiatives, product withdrawals, and recall operations to safeguard customer networks.

Audit Analysis & Performance Improvement
• Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct detailed audit assessments tracking the frequency, type, and magnitude of inventory errors; provide actionable recommendations to optimize supply chain data flows.
• Vendor Communication: Articulate complex transactional errors with clarity in both written and verbal formats when coordinating with 3PL warehouse support contacts and internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related field.
• Experience:
o1+ year of professional experience in business operations, logistics, inventory control, or analytical customer service.
oHands-on experience with inventory reconciliation or transactional auditing is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
oExperience utilizing SAP or equivalent enterprise-level ERP platforms is highly desired.
oStrong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills for data comparison.
• Core Competencies:
oExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive month-end deadlines.
oOutstanding written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
oFlexibility to adjust and support a variable work schedule during critical operational events if required.
