Technical Sales Engineer

Phasics Corporation is seeking a driven Technical Sales Engineer to accelerate our commercial activities, promote innovative products across diverse markets, and expand our presence in key U.S. states. Location

This position is based in Boulder, Colorado (US), with frequent travel required throughout the US and Canada (30%-40% travel time). A remote location may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the North America Sales Manager and working within a multidisciplinary team, your key responsibilities will include:

Sales Growth & Client Acquisition

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins.
  • Hunt for new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, outreach, referrals, events, and partner networks.
  • Identify, qualify, and engage new customers, offering tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for prospects and customers.

Customer Relationship & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and other commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from first contact to closing, including lead qualification, follow-ups, and opportunity prioritization.

Market Intelligence & Brand Ambassadorship

  • Increase brand recognition by representing Phasics at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to provide customer and market feedback, driving continuous product improvement.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation and sales tools to support marketing efforts.

CRM, Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain meticulous records within the CRM to track leads, opportunities, and every touchpoint of the customer journey.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline health, and accurate forecasting to optimize the company's commercial strategy.

Profile

You hold an advanced degree (Master's level or equivalent) in physics or optics, providing you with a strong technical foundation to engage with experts. Beyond your scientific expertise, you are a results-driven professional eager to push and master your commercial skills to drive growth. As a technical sales engineer, you thrive on challenges, hunting for new opportunities, and hitting targets. Independent and motivated by closing deals, you are curious by nature and enjoy traveling to lead our commercial expansion.

Benefits and Salary Range

Salary Range: $75,000 $90,000 base salary per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus.
