NXLog helps companies manage their logs better — a unified platform for log collection, storage, and analysis. Our users are security engineers and IT operations teams running our agents across thousands of endpoints, often on-premises and in tightly regulated environments. We combine the stability of an established company with the agility of a start-up.

We are hiring a Product Manager!

We're rebuilding our team to ship faster and think bigger as we're locking in next year's roadmap right now. We've built this whole thing from scratch - garage start-up to scale-up. And the stories we could tell you about the journey…buckle up! With Fortune 500 clients under our belt, we need to ensure that our current customer base is served exceptionally, while we also keep growing our product options to meet the newest trends and product standards in the industry. This means that while our new SaaS platform gets quite a bit of focus, we need to move confidently in air-gapped environments too. Priorities, resource management: yes, we know it sounds dry, but with all this potential, it is something to get excited about! You'll decide what we tackle first, and make the case for it. The evidence is already here - support tickets, sales call transcripts, win/loss notes, competitor docs and changelogs, community threads. Your job is to mine it, and to put AI to work on the unstructured stuff.

One test for all of it: does it move the business, and does it make our users' lives easier?

What you'll own:

The delivery plan. Turn agreed product direction into a sequenced, prioritised plan: what we build next, what waits, what we drop, and why. Keep it current, keep it visible, and keep everyone honest about it.

Requirements engineering can build from. User stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, non-functional requirements, and a sequence that gets us to a shippable increment. Unambiguous enough that nobody has to guess.

The way we work. Improve it. Spot what's slowing us down, propose the fix, and see it through.

Your approach

Enough discovery to build the right thing.

Beyond mining what we already have: customer interviews, beta feedback loops, sales and support ride-alongs. Not open-ended market research - targeted validation that turns into problem statements engineering can act on, and catches the mismatch before they do.

Delivery through to done.

Bring engineering in as soon as requirements take shape - prototypes, specs, a working session to refine together. Turn what you agree into user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements. Then stay available through the build: run refinement, answer what surfaces mid-implementation, cut scope or call a problem-solving session when reality differs from the plan. Keep engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support in the loop with a regular delivery status, and verify what shipped against what was specified.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years in product management, with a track record of taking a product area from decided direction to shipped and verified.
• Technical depth. You can read API docs, reason about a data pipeline, hold your own in refinement, and earn credibility with a technical buyer.
• B2B software sold to technical buyers - infrastructure, developer tools, data platforms, or security. Time in log management or observability is a real advantage, but we'll teach the domain to the right person.
• You work AI-natively. You've rebuilt your own workflow around it - research, analysis, specs, prototypes - and can tell us what actually changed, including where you decided not to use it.
• Excellent written communication. Most decisions here get made in writing.
• Comfort with distributed teams across time zones, and the confidence to say "good enough, ship it" when the alternative is another round.

Nice to have

• Hands-on with SIEM or log management tooling - Splunk, Cribl, Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, Graylog, Securonix, and the like.
• Products with both a community and a commercial edition, and the funnel between them.
• On-premises or self-hosted software, and the release and upgrade realities that come with it.
• Experience in taking a product from private beta to GA.
• Command-line and config-file UX.
• Jira, Confluence, git.
