A growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a dedicated pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity in Mesa, AZ, with additional openings in Gilbert, AZ or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ. This working PIC role requires a hands-on leader comfortable managing dispensing, patient counseling, pharmacy operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions while providing thorough patient counseling
- Supervise pharmacy staff and uphold SOPs, USP standards, and FDA 503A facility compliance
- Manage inventory, controlled substances, and accurate documentation
- Address patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain compliance with multi-state regulations to support pharmacy expansion
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in AZ or NJ (based on location)
- 35 years of total pharmacy experience
- Strong preference for mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding experience
- Comfortable serving in a working PIC capacity with knowledge of state and federal regulations relevant to a 503A facility
- Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is highly preferred
- PioneerRx system experience is a plus; training is available
- West Coast licensure (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) is a major advantage to help expand national coverage
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Possible weekend coverage as the pharmacy grows
Additional details:
- Candidates should be local to Gilbert, AZ, Mesa, AZ, or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ as relocation is not currently approved
- Competitive compensation range: approximately $68$75/hr DOE, or $145K$156K annually
This is a direct hire position with a 25% placement fee structure in place. Interviews start the week of August 24th, with a targeted start 23 weeks after offer acceptance.
