Overview
ER Registered Nurse – Plattsburgh, NY. This is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Start date: July 13, 2026. Duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,443 to $2,525. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts. Date posted: June 24, 2026. This ER role is for an Emergency Department nurse with travel experience preferred and requires strong clinical skills, Epic EMR proficiency, and current NY licensure or verified application in progress.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid response for acutely ill or injured patients
- Administer medications, establish IV access, manage airway and basic life support needs, and coordinate diagnostic tests and procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and unit support staff; document findings and care plans in the Epic EMR
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate; ensure safe handoffs during shift change
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to ED protocols; participate in code response and quality improvement activities as needed

Requirements
- Active New York RN license or verified application with applied date (NY licensing takes 6–8 weeks)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC equivalency), NIHSS, TNCC required; TNCC must be active or proof of class prior to start; NIHSS required prior to starting
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- ER nursing experience: minimum 1 year; prior travel experience preferred; charge experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital Emergency Department environment; reliable transportation to the assignment; personal vehicle with winter tires recommended Nov–Apr
