Overview Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. The company serves outdoor, residential, and professional applications. Dometic Land Vehicles Americas provides high-end products for recreational vehicles, commercial passenger vehicles, and overlanding vehicles in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The organisation is seeking its next star — a passionate Product Manager within the Product Management capability. This position reports to the Vice President and General Manager, RVOEM Sales and is based in the Elkhart, IN area. About the Position As a Product Manager in the Product Management team, you will drive the development, strategy, and success of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to launch and ongoing enhancement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a proven track record of managing complex product portfolios. The role ensures that product categories within the assigned scope meet Dometic’s ambitions, deliver against financial targets, and create products and concepts for target customers. Your Main Responsibilities Product Strategy and Planning Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends and opportunities. Product Development Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of high-quality products. Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to translate market needs into innovative and feasible product solutions. Portfolio Management Manage a diverse product portfolio, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and profitability. Define and communicate product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations. Go-to-Market Strategy Develop and execute go-to-market plans, including pricing strategies, positioning, and marketing collateral. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive product awareness, demand generation, and customer adoption. Work with sales and marketing teams to develop sales tools, including sell sheets, website content, and brochures, to maximize brand exposure and equity. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, engineering, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Serve as a product specialist who develops and performs training on products. Performance Analysis Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Implement strategies to address challenges and capitalize on market dynamics. Proven experience as a Product Manager at a senior level, preferably in a consumer goods-oriented industry; direct experience in a product and service company is ideal. Demonstrated success in managing complex product portfolios and driving product innovation. Skills and Competencies Experience in mobile living markets (RVs, marine, etc.). Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Technical background or understanding of product development processes is advantageous.
