Our organization is currently in search of a Clinical Director of Hepatology for the Lenox Hill Hospital located in Manhattan, NY, as part of the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation and the Division of Hepatology .

The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Board certification in transplant hepatology
• Experience in providing clinical leadership and developing strategic programs
• A minimum of 5 years in transplant hepatology is preferred
• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare environment, ideally within a large health system or academic institution
• Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing education

This pivotal position entails managing the medical treatment of patients suffering from liver diseases, including those requiring liver transplants. We welcome applications from candidates at the assistant, associate, and professor of medicine levels, based on their qualifications and experience. Key duties include:

• Diagnosing and treating liver disorders
• Evaluating patients for liver transplantation eligibility
• Overseeing pre- and post-transplant care
• Educating medical students, residents, and fellows in GI and Transplant Hepatology

Applicants should be board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology, with demonstrated expertise in both General and Transplant Hepatology, as well as endoscopy. This role involves collaboration with a team of hepatologists, advanced care practitioners, and other medical professionals at the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation - Lenox Hill location. Candidates must exhibit exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills, strong communication abilities, and be eligible for medical licensure in New York State. Experience in academic research and teaching is highly regarded and will be considered a significant asset.
