Big Data Engineer

Introduction In this contingent resource assignment, you may consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. You will contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables and collaborate with client personnel. Required Skills & Qualifications

- 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with Big Data Platforms (Source, Conform, Curate).
- Proficiency in tools such as Spark, Python, Scala, Linux Shell, Autosys, etc.
- Familiarity with interfaces like Linux Command Line, Editors like PyCharm, Dremio, etc.
- Soft skills in data processing, Big Data experience, Data Controls experience, and working in JIRA Agile.
- Accountability to lead and own work streams end to end.
- Domain expertise in Fin Crime, including preparing data for use cases like Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk, Investigations, etc.
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.
- Experience with home-grown tools like Flow Master, Edit Upload, etc.
- Prior experience with similar industry-specific projects.
- Additional certifications in Big Data or related technologies.
- Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with client personnel to achieve project goals and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
