Business Consulting-Payment Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned Payment Consultant with 6–15 years of experience in large-scale payments transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge of global payment systems, messaging schemas, and ERP integrations, along with fluency in both English and Spanish. This role involves leading business discussions, managing stakeholder requirements, and supporting the design and implementation of payment solutions. Key Responsibilities Interact with business owners, product teams, vendors, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Provide domain leadership and define solutions aligned with client business needs. Manage delivery of engagement outcomes and lead high-level business and project review meetings. Support modernization and transformation of payment systems. Translate business requirements into software specifications. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment of requirements. Review test strategies and specifications; assist in functional testing and provide UAT/BAT support. Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure successful solution delivery. Required Qualifications 6–15 years of experience in payments transformation projects. Fluency in English and Spanish (mandatory). Experience with API-based platforms, Java Spring Boot, and Oracle integration. Hands-on experience with ERP API integration. Familiarity with SWIFT message formats (MT103, MT101, MT202, MT202 Cov), Faster Payments, CHAPS, and BACS. Strong understanding of global payments landscape and instruments (Direct Debits/Credits). Expertise in messaging schemas and formats. Experience in solution architecture, design, and implementation of payment systems. Strong communication skills and ability to lead domain discussions with BFSI clients. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with international banking regulations and standards.
