Program Development Manager

Position Overview The Program Development Manager provides direct support to the Executive Director and assists with the administrative and operational needs of the agency while also supporting grant writing, fundraising, events, marketing, social media, and community partnerships. Key Responsibilities Administration & Operations Provide dedicated administrative, organizational, and operational support to the Executive Director. Manage calendars, correspondence, agency records, ordering, and other administrative functions. Assist with financial transactions, including invoices, statements, orders, and donation/grant data entry. Maintain the integrity of donor and agency databases and perform general data entry. Collaborate with the Director of Financial and Clinical Services to support accuracy and compliance in financial records. Prepare monthly and other reports as needed. Maintain accurate records of contacts and activities in agency databases, including E-Tapestry® and Volunteer Hub®. Review and analyze program and statistical data involving neighbors, volunteers, and donors. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed. Grant Writing & Fund Development Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources. Develop, write, edit, and prepare grant narratives and related materials. Assist with developing and implementing fundraising plans. Assist with reporting requirements for various funding sources. Communicate the agency's programs and impact to potential funders, donors, community partners, and service recipients. Marketing, Communications & Social Media Create, coordinate, distribute, and manage social media content. Update and maintain the JFS website. Oversee publicity and marketing efforts for agency programs. Assist with graphic design and the production of professional printed materials. Help prepare presentations, speeches, training materials, and other communications. Events & Community Engagement Coordinate and assist with agency events, community gatherings, and holiday events. Support municipality partnerships and help maximize opportunities to develop programs and services. Represent JFS through participation in community, advisory, and collaborative relationships. Participate in appropriate committee meetings, agency meetings, staff training, and professional development programs. Assist with community outreach and promote awareness of JFS services. Additional Responsibilities Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Provide support to Case Managers and other team members as needed. Assist Case Managers and Directors with reporting for funding sources. Participate in committees and community organizations as assigned. Develop familiarity with local businesses, community organizations, representatives, and Orange County resources. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field; or Associate's degree with 2–4 years of related experience and/or training; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical, procedural, financial, and organizational documents. Ability to analyze data, identify issues, establish facts, and draw appropriate conclusions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and navigate Paychex, Volunteer Hub®, and E-Tapestry®. Familiarity with internet and VPN use when working in the community. Bilingual skills are a plus. Community Travel This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for agency-related travel, which may include travel between job sites, home assessments, community outreach, meetings, and trainings. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with agency policy. Schedule The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM . Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be requested throughout the year in connection with community events. Physical & Work Environment The position may require prolonged sitting, standing, and walking, including walking on uneven terrain. The employee may need to travel, enter and exit a vehicle, carry agency materials and equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
