Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Sparks Group has teamed with several prominent and successful companies in the Jacksonville, FL area to identify bookkeepers for contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire opportunities. Responsibilities: Balance and maintain accurate ledgers by reconciling entries Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management Monitor office expenses; tally and enter cash receipts Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns along with payroll, operating and business taxes Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account info and trends Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Background Profile: Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree may be acceptable Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically advanced Excel and other large ERP systems Strong understanding of general accounting principles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Accurate, detail-oriented and well-organized This job is In-Person.
