Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role

Position Overview

BodySync PT is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our esteemed team in Rochester, New York. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in helping our patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries and surgical procedures. We are committed to delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services, and as a Physical Therapist, you will directly impact the quality of care our patients receive. This is an on-site position in a rehabilitation facility, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing relevant diagnostic techniques to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and state-of-the-art modalities.

• Monitor patient progress meticulously and document treatment outcomes accordingly, updating treatment plans to ensure optimal patient recovery trajectories.

• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, post-treatment care, and overall wellness to enhance recovery and maintain long-term health.

• Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers to align treatment strategies and improve patient care quality.

• Comply with healthcare regulations and clinic protocols by maintaining accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

• Stay updated with advancements in physical therapy practices, actively participating in professional development opportunities to enhance personal expertise and clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgery, trauma, or chronic pain. You will be working with a diverse population, ranging from athletes needing swift recovery to geriatric patients requiring careful rehabilitation. Your compassionate communication and clinical expertise will be essential in providing the best care for our patients and their families, fostering trust and encouraging adherence to treatment protocols.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree is prerequisites for optimal candidates.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, although new graduates with relevant clinical rotations may also be considered.

• Demonstrated proficiency in a range of physical therapy techniques, including functional movement assessments and manual therapy approaches.

• Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent interpersonal communication abilities are essential for effective patient education and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with advanced therapeutic techniques, pain management protocols, and integration of holistic approaches to patient care will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with modern rehabilitation technologies and treatment methods will set you apart as an ideal candidate.

Compensation and Benefits
