Work Environment

This position is onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility, allowing for close collaboration with colleagues and a direct connection with patients. The work environment promotes teamwork and communication, with a staff of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). You will have access to advanced equipment and technology designed to optimize therapy outcomes for our patients. Regular team meetings and training sessions ensure continual professional development and quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify specific objectives and rehabilitation needs in a healthcare setting.
• Manage an efficient caseload, treating one patient per hour while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a comprehensive range of modalities including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation techniques.
• Provide evidence-based care aimed at improving patients' mobility and functional abilities, while also aiming to reduce reliance on medications.
• Educate and motivate patients through their rehabilitation pathways, fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages progression toward their goals.
• Regularly assess and document the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting approaches based on patient progress and feedback.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including referring physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Promote a proactive approach to health, enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination as part of overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your main focus will be treating a diverse patient population, particularly individuals with conditions related to orthopedic issues, sports injuries, and rehabilitation following surgeries. Many of our patients come from private insurance backgrounds, allowing for personalized treatment approaches that cater directly to their unique healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York, with no history of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of rehabilitation practices.
• Proficiency in managing electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• A proven record of collaborating seamlessly with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care quality.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
