About the Role
You'll be a Founding Engineer at Solderable, building the core AI-assisted PCB design tooling and EDA automation platform from the ground up. This is a software-first role with deep hardware roots—you'll own everything from the design tools themselves to manufacturing pipeline integrations and whatever else the business needs. Raw engineering talent and a genuine interest in electronics are what matter most.
What You'll Do
- Build AI-assisted PCB design tools and EDA automation features that ship to users.
- Integrate manufacturing pipelines and manage the full hardware-to-production workflow.
- Own full-stack problems across the platform, from backend systems to user-facing tooling.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team to define product direction and technical strategy.
- Ship fast, iterate based on user feedback, and solve whatever blockers come up.
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience shipping a physical or hardware product end-to-end.
- Hands-on PCB design, schematic review, KiCad experience, or embedded systems work.
- Demonstrable craft obsession—active side projects, strong GitHub presence, or personal hardware builds.
- Embedded systems or low-level programming experience in C, C++, Rust, or Go.
- Startup or founder experience; comfort with ambiguity and wearing many hats.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals—algorithms, systems design, and data structures.
