What We're Looking For In Commercial Sales Manager

Candidates with commercial moving industry experience and knowledge of estimating, pricing models, and proposal development are highly preferred. We just ask that you meet the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in commercial moving, logistics, transportation, or business services
• Previous management or supervisory experience leading a sales team
• Proven success in business development and revenue growth
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to build long-term client and strategic partner relationships
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

Your New Role As Our Commercial Sales Manager

This is a full-time leadership role that typically works during regular business hours. As our Commercial Sales Manager, you'll lead, coach, and develop our commercial sales team while overseeing the department's performance, processes, and daily activities. You'll establish goals and expectations, analyze performance metrics, conduct coaching sessions, create accountability, and recruit and develop team members. You'll oversee proposals, presentations, RFP responses, pricing structures, job costing, truckload calculations, contracts, and Certificates of Insurance. You'll also collaborate closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure seamless project transitions, monitor customer satisfaction, oversee existing client relationships, manage CRM reporting, analyze sales trends, assist with marketing initiatives, and oversee departmental scheduling and timekeeping.

This is a sales management position-not an individual sales or business development role. You will not be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, generating leads, attending networking events to secure business, or personally selling commercial moving services. Your focus will be managing the team and ensuring the department operates effectively and successfully.
