Trenchless Services Senior Construction Consultant

Overview Join to apply for the Trenchless Services Senior Construction Consultant role at HDR . HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role reports to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and supports the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services, including engineering, design, and construction applications. Responsibilities Provide construction oversight for trenchless installations. Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts. Review deliverables for trenchless construction activities. Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts. Perform route assessments for trenchless aspects of pipeline siting and routing. Oversee trenchless construction activities, including coordinating staffing and reviewing CM scopes. Support business development for trenchless services through client interface. Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control. Prepare Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan. Develop and implement procedures for construction contract administration (documents, change, time, cost, quality, safety) in coordination with the project team. Perform construction management activities, including procurement development, schedules, subcontract scopes, subcontract terms, constructability and value engineering reviews, estimating, schedule reviews, and project progress presentations. Administer and manage construction activities; monitor design progress as relates to construction requirements. Perform value engineering and constructability reviews. Coordinate local bidding efforts for field quotes; assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages. Coordinate document management and reviewing of submittals (shop drawings, pay applications). Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; review baseline and updated construction schedules. Control the project budget and schedule; coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services. Ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections. Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly). Coordinate local bidding efforts and project setup including temporary facilities. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Required : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, site safety, bidding, procurement, scheduling, cost control. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and other stakeholders. Commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture. Preferred : Professional Engineer (PE); Certified Construction Manager (CCM); experience with estimating/scheduling/web-based collaboration software for document exchange. The targeted salary for this position is $135,000 - $165,000, depending on experience and location. Location : United States (various locations listed in posting).
