- Lead payroll for a multi-state workforce , ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal and state requirements.

- Make a visible impact by identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, reporting, and efficiency.
- Review timekeeping, wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and employee changes while resolving discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
- Oversee a small team of payroll specialists.
- Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations to resolve payroll issues, maintain accurate employee data, and provide payroll reporting and support.
- Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen payroll controls, support system updates, and help ensure payroll procedures remain efficient and compliant.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably supporting a multi-state workforce.
- Experience leading a team.
