The Laminator performs a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI). Level I Entry/Junior level individual contributor, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Requires little or no prior experience and no more than a few months of training that is often received while on the job. Has little or no autonomy and works under close supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level over time.

• Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and SWI instructions; wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
• Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
• Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
• Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
• Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.

Required Qualifications: Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps. Ability to read and understand detailed instructions. Acute attention to detail. Excellent hand eye coordination. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of process specifications. Basic math skills.

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in composite manufacturing a plus.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Working Conditions: While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment. Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled. Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Exposure to hazardous equipment. Exposure to contaminants. Shared workspaces with other employees. Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs. Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending. Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).

Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
