Job Title: Technician
Job Description

This role involves performing general labor duties including site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup. The technician will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure the efficient progression of tasks. Duties include operating hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely, as well as loading, unloading, and staging materials to support workflow and job efficiency. The role also involves performing demolition, excavation support, trenching, and backfilling as needed. Additionally, technicians will measure, cut, and assemble materials using basic layout tools and tape measures, while maintaining clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites. Adherence to OSHA safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE at all times is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties including site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup.
• Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure efficient task progression.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and stage materials to support workflow and job efficiency.
• Perform demolition, excavation support, trenching, and backfilling as needed.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using basic layout tools and tape measures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

• General labor and construction experience.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry, concrete, or mechanical work.
• Ability to read tape measures and follow blueprints or work instructions.
• Material handling and job site logistics support.
• Proficient with hand tools such as hammer, drill, saw, and level.
• Experience with power tools and construction equipment.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Strong attendance record.
• Experience working in outdoor environments and varying conditions.
• Strong understanding of job site safety and OSHA standards.
• PPE compliance and hazard awareness.
• Ability to identify and report unsafe conditions.

Work Environment

The work environment involves moving between indoor and outdoor settings. Conditions can be extremely hot during summer months and may include rainy days. The role requires flexibility and adaptation to changing environments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bethlehem,PA.
