Job Description: 

As a Senior Specialist, Software Engineer (Embedded), you will be responsible for supporting and leading the development and execution of software on the embedded targeted hardware. You will be responsible for designing the software per requirements documents and system level design documents. There will be a focus to interface with the test engineers to influence test automation.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) division specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions: 

• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the targeted embedded hardware
• Advanced skills in modern C++, implementing software for embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware, firmware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system
• Investigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test
• Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
• Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

· Minimum of 6 years experience in computer/software engineering field

· Minimum of 6 years C++ development in a professional environment
