Responsibilities

• Maintain and modify as needed, a Quality Systems manual and procedures with responsibilities for all parties involved with customer requirements and company objectives. Manage and continue to develop an inspection department including equipment, systems, and personnel to adequately inspect the necessary products at varying frequencies to meet quality and economic objectives.

• Manage the coordination of required audits to maintain both ISO and AS9100 certifications.
\n
• Schedule and conduct management review meetings to ensure all required activities related to ISO and AS9100 certification are completed on time with a focus on continuous improvement.
\n
• Establish and maintain a reporting system and document file based on the Quality Manual to appropriately record and control all required information, including certifications and calibrations.
\n
• Coordinate with Material Management on the Supplier Management Program including procedures the vendor has to perform, and a system of inspection and controls upon receipt, to verify vendor goods meet the requirements of the company. Accept primary responsibilities (in cooperation with Materials Manager) to resolve vendor problems and requests.
\n
• Accept the primary responsibility (in coordination with the Executive Vice President and Account Managers) to resolve customer problems and requests.
\n
• Cooperate with the toolroom in sharing equipment and manpower to inspect tooling and product as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with plant supervision to economically meet established schedules and customer requirements based on priorities determined by management and customer service.
\n
• Manage all quality technician training programs and provide training to other employees on inspection processes along with quality issue resolutions.
\n
• Oversee the operation of all quality inspection equipment including coordinate measuring machine, Keyence visual inspection equipment, optical comparator, micro height gauge, and other gauges and fixtures.
\n
• Continually analyze production and quality system results to determine possibilities for changes in the best interest of the company. Make recommendations to the Executive Staff regarding systems, equipment and employee needs.

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
\n
• 5+ years' relevant work experience
\n
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
