Location Clarkston Office PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Devote your full time to the business and affairs of Chase Plastic Services, Inc., and to use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you. This position will be responsible for maintaining accounting records for Chase Land Development (CLD), CBK Land Development (CBK), and Chase Plastics de Mexico (CPM). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain the General Ledger for CLD, CBK, and CPdM. Responsible for processing all CLD, CBK, and CPdM supplier invoices, payment of those invoices, posting of cash receipts, month end closing entries, reconciliation of key accounts, and the issuance of Financial Statements Generate monthly inter-company invoices. Investigate cost discrepancies and make the necessary adjustments. Reconcile all company bank accounts monthly. Maintain the Fixed Asset records and depreciation reporting for all companies. Complete various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and processes as assigned by the Controller. Assist the Controller with yearend closing duties that include working closely with the outside accounting firm hired to prepare annual tax returns. Provide back-up coverage to the Accounting Administrators. This may require accounts payable invoice entry, processing check/EFT runs, and processing daily customer invoices and returns. Provide back-up coverage to the Accounting Administrators for the processing of monthly credit card statements and cash expense reports. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently to meet the needs of the business. Two to five years’ work experience in accounting is required. Strong attention to detail, problem solving and resolution skills, as well as organizational skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong customer orientation skills are essential. Must be proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking periodically throughout the day; or reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting up to 25 pounds as required to file documents or store materials and/or office supplies throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. Finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion also required. For the most part, working conditions will be in ambient room temperatures, and lighting and traditional office equipment provided as found in a typical office environment.
