Locums - Cottonwood, Arizona General Cardiology Opening (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role Join an established General Cardiology service in Cottonwood, Arizona, providing clinic and hospital-based Cardiology coverage beginning September 21, 2026, with an ongoing need for coverage. The provider will see approximately 18-24 patients per clinic day and will perform cardiac catheterization for their own patients. The patient population is primarily age 60 and older. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both patients and staff are preferred. Assignment Details Start Date: September 21, 2026 Coverage Dates: September 21-25, 2026 October 2-4, 2026 October 5-9, 2026 October 19-23, 2026 November 2-6, 2026 November 23-25, 2026 December 7-11, 2026 December 28-29, 2026 Contract Length: Ongoing coverage Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 1-hour unpaid lunch Overtime begins after the scheduled shift Weekend coverage: Friday 5:30 PM-Monday 7:00 AM when scheduled Coverage Model: Hospital and clinic coverage Ongoing monthly coverage General Cardiology Clinic and inpatient responsibilities Cardiac catheterization for the provider's own patients Weekend coverage as scheduled Position Highlights September 21, 2026 start Ongoing coverage need Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 1-hour unpaid lunch Weekend call coverage October 2-4 Approximately 18-24 clinic patients per day Patient population primarily age 60+ Cardiac catheterization for own patients MA, PCT, Nurse, and PA support Hospital and clinic setting Cerner EMR Board Certified Cardiology required Active Arizona license or IMLC LOQ required ACLS and BLS required Minimum 2 years of experience required Approximately 30-day credentialing timeframe Clinical Details & Responsibilities Practice Setting: Hospital Outpatient Clinic Cardiology Clinical Responsibilities: Provide General Cardiology coverage Evaluate and manage Cardiology patients See approximately 18-24 clinic patients per day Provide hospital-based Cardiology care Perform cardiac catheterization for the provider's own patients Evaluate and manage patients age 60 and older Develop and manage treatment plans Coordinate care with nursing, PA, MA, and PCT staff Communicate effectively with patients and families Collaborate with hospital and clinic teams Document patient care using Cerner Patient Volume Approximately 18-24 patients per clinic day Patient population primarily age 60+ Patient volume may vary depending on daily demand Procedural Responsibilities Cardiac catheterization for the provider's own patients Call Responsibilities Weekend Call: When scheduled, weekend coverage runs: Friday 5:30 PM-Monday 7:00 AM Weekend coverage is included in the October 2-4, 2026 assignment. Support & Team The provider will work with an established Cardiology team and receive support from: Medical Assistants Patient Care Technicians Nurses Physician Assistants for in-house support Strong interpersonal and relational skills with staff and patients are preferred. Requirements Board Certified in Cardiology - Required Active Arizona Medical License - Required IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) accepted Minimum 2 years of experience - Required ACLS - Required BLS - Required Ability to provide hospital and clinic Cardiology coverage Ability to perform cardiac catheterization for own patients Strong interpersonal and communication skills preferred Credentialing Active Arizona licensure is required, or an IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) will be accepted.
