Job Description: Breakfast Cook

Breakfast Cook Job Summary: The Breakfast cook prepares, cooks, and assists in cleaning and serving the breakfast and lunch meal for patients, the Café, and for Meals-On-Wheels. Prepares catering and desserts as needed to maintain patient, employee and visitor satisfaction and consumer demands for upcoming days. Other duties as assigned; may be required to prepare meals for patients and Meals-On-Wheels on weekends and/or holidays.

Breakfast Cook Shift Availability:

• Full Time

• Shift: 5:30 am- 2:00 pm

Breakfast Cook Job Requirements:

• Reviews menus for meals and upcoming catering to ensure an organized and steady work environment.

• Monitors and regulates safe temperatures for prepared meals to prevent food waste and illness.

• Organizes and distributes meals to patients to create a welcoming and excellent patient care environment.

• Executes and maintains a clean workspace to prevent food waste, pest infestations, and practice infection control.

• Assists in organizing and arranging delivered goods to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.

• Works well under pressure and can multitask.

Breakfast Cook Qualifications:

• Food service experience preferred, but not required.

• Must be a team player and work well in a team setting.

• Implements effective communication skills.

• Abilities to perform using basic mathematic skills.

Breakfast Cook Education:

• High school or equivalent
