Executive Director About the Company Mission-driven organization dedicated to preserving Michigan's historic sites Industry Non-Profit Organization Management Type Non Profit Founded 1981 Employees 1-10 Specialties historic preservation About the Role The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its organization through a significant transition, with a focus on becoming a more visible, influential, and financially sustainable leader in the field of historic preservation. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as the primary ambassador, engaging stakeholders, advancing advocacy efforts, and strengthening partnerships to position historic preservation as a key driver of economic development, community vitality, and environmental sustainability. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the organization and the role of historic preservation across the state, and the ideal Executive Director will be both strategic and entrepreneurial, with a strong motivation to build momentum, strengthen the organization's foundation, and elevate its impact. The Executive Director will work closely with an engaged board, dedicated staff, and a passionate network of members and partners to grow the organization's impact and deepen its advocacy. The position requires a leader who is committed to the mission of the organization and who can inspire and connect with communities to ensure that historic places continue to serve and inspire for generations to come.
