Handy Person / General Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a dependable and skilled handy person to perform general repairs, maintenance, and improvement work. The ideal candidate can work independently, identify problems, complete tasks safely, and maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, flooring, and other building components.
• Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and hardware.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and property inspections.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Purchase or pick up materials when authorized.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with licensed contractors when specialized work is required.
• Follow all workplace and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous handyman, construction, or property-maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working indoors or outdoors.

Employment Details:

• Job type: Full-time.
• Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Pay: $20 per hour.
• Work location: 120 Stationvue, Washington, PA 15301.
