Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor for third-shift oversight at its Boston facility. The role involves leading daily cGMP manufacturing activities, supervising shift personnel, managing batch records, and ensuring regulatory compliance across drug product operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily third-shift manufacturing operations and personnel assignments
- Oversee cGMP activities including equipment setup, operation, disassembly, and cleaning
- Execute and witness batch record instructions and perform real-time documentation review
- Monitor GMP compliance and maintain facility in audit-ready state through procedure adherence
- Interface with cross-functional teams to support facility operations and manufacturing objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- 6+ years of experience or equivalent education/experience combination
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
- Solid understanding of cGMP frameworks in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred
Compensation: $97,900 - $146,900 base
