Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations 1st Shift (1B)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead first-shift operations at its Boston facility. The role involves overseeing cGMP-compliant drug product manufacturing, managing shift personnel, directing equipment operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance across daily production activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise manufacturing operations on assigned shift with personnel work assignments
- Oversee cGMP activities including equipment setup, operation, disassembly, and cleaning procedures
- Execute batch record instructions and conduct real-time documentation review during operations
- Monitor and enforce GMP compliance across facility personnel and manufacturing activities
- Interface with cross-functional teams on maintenance, operations, and manufacturing objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- 6+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience combination
- Strong understanding of cGMP frameworks in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision capabilities
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Prior cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred
- Prior POMS MES system experience preferred
Compensation: $97,900 - $146,900 base
