Fleet Support Specialist

Overview Technical troubleshooting and customer‑facing role in GE Vernova’s Wind Remote Operations Center in Schenectady, NY. Shift‑based on campus, 24/7 rotating shift with potential on‑call support. Responsibilities Remote troubleshooting of power assets escalated from Fleet Support Operators using digital tools. Read, understand, execute, and seek opportunities to highlight updates for fault handling procedures. Document and communicate technical data generated by assigned projects in accordance with engineering policies and procedures. Adhere to applicable regulatory and local compliance requirements. Provide situationally dependent monitoring on request for portions of the monitored fleet. Support (and potentially execute) parameter and software updates as requested by leadership. Provide timely communications and escalation with stakeholders on significant issues or developments during day‑to‑day monitoring. Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks. Actively feed lessons learned back into procedures and quality checks to drive ROC world‑class operational excellence. Resolve and troubleshoot ServiceNow support cases. Assist with training of new employees. Document all work performed via guidelines in approved procedures and appropriate playbooks. Support planned and unplanned Balance of Plant responsibilities and Fleet Support Operator responsibilities when needed. Actively manage customer phone support requests. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Energy Technologies, Operations, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.

• -OR-- Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role.
• -OR-- High School Diploma / GED with 4 years of experience in a technical role.

Eligibility Requirements Willing to travel 10% of the time. Willing to work out of an office in Schenectady, NY, on a 24/7 rotating shift structure, including potential on‑call support as required. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Compensation Base pay range: $62,400 – $93,600 USD annually. A shift differential of 10% may also apply.
