Library Aide, Jacob Edwards Library (Southbridge) The Jacob Edwards Library is looking for a part-time/non-benefitted Library Aide to provide customer service and support basic circulation services, for up to 10 hours per week. This position requires one closing shift (until 8pm) during the week and also requires rotating Saturdays (9am-1pm) between Labor Day and Memorial Day.Duties include but not limited to greeting and assisting patrons at the circulation desk, checking materials in/out, renewing items, placing holds, registering patrons for library cards and answer phones, and pulling materials for Interlibrary Loan requests. The Library Aide will also shelve, organize, and clean library materials and shelves and assist patrons with basic computer use, empty the book drop and assist with displays, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent, experience with working with the public, familiarity with CW Mars, Evergreen, and GSuite preferred. Comfort and experience with computers or willing/able to learn the use of current library technology. Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact respectfully with patrons of all ages, backgrounds, and level of understanding of library services. Full job qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr State
