What You'll Do

• Provide critical nursing care to patients of all acuity levels, including trauma, cardiovascular, neuro, and other emergencies
• Manage ventilators, critical care drips, cardiac rhythms, drains, chest tubes, and hemodynamic lines
• Administer medications, including TPA (stroke) and conscious sedation
• Assist with procedures like splinting and assess suicide risk during onboarding
• Collaborate with hospitalists, ER physicians, charge nurses, and other team members
• Follow established protocols for patient safety, documentation in EMR (Meditech Expanse), and unit policies
• Support patient and family education during critical moments

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana
• 2+ years of ER and acute care experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Strong knowledge of ventilator management, critical care procedures, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
