Position Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is the first and last impression our patients have of our practice. You are responsible for creating a warm, professional front-office experience while managing the administrative flow that keeps the practice running efficiently. This role reports to the Office Manager and works closely with the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage the recall system
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient appointments
• Present treatment plans clearly and assist patients in understanding their financial options, including membership plan enrollment
• Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments accurately
• Manage new patient intake, paperwork, and chart preparation
• Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain an on-time schedule
• Follow up on unscheduled treatment and reactivate lapsed patients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
• Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy standards
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists as required

Qualifications

• 1+ years of dental front office experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with dental insurance (PPO, HMO, fee-for-service) strongly preferred
• Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, team-first attitude
