Patent Agent (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical) Location: Minneapolis, MN (Remote/Hybrid options available) Experience: 2+ years Requirements Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related field) or Computer Science degree. At least 2 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution. Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and analytical skills. USPTO registration is strongly preferred. About The Role Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent to join its team in the Minneapolis office. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys and clients in diverse industries such as medical devices and electronics. You will apply your patent prosecution experience to manage and build U.S. and international patent portfolios. Key Responsibilities Draft and prosecute patent applications. Conduct due diligence investigations. Perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses. Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies for clients across various industries, including medical devices and electronics.
