Role Description The Kitchen Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Greater Sacramento, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food, safety, and efficiency. This role includes leading and coaching kitchen Team Members, organizing food preparation and cooking schedules, and maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards. The Kitchen Director collaborates with the restaurant leadership team to manage inventory, control waste, support cost-effective practices, and uphold Chick‑fil‑A’s service and quality expectations. Daily responsibilities also involve assisting with guest needs related to food orders, supporting smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. The Kitchen Director is expected to model Chick‑fil‑A’s values, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture of excellence. Qualifications Strong skills in food preparation with the ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations. Thorough understanding of hygiene and food safety standards, including proper sanitation and safe handling practices. Effective communication skills to coordinate with Team Members and leadership across the restaurant. Commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring food quality and timely order fulfillment. Previous experience in restaurant or food service management, preferably in a quick-service or fast-casual environment. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with point-of-sale and kitchen management systems; willingness to learn Chick‑fil‑A operational tools. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
