Experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A Houston-based personal injury law firm is seeking an Experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling personal injury matters and be comfortable managing cases through litigation and, preferably, trial.

Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury cases from initial litigation through settlement or trial.
• Develop case strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and apply relevant Texas laws and case precedent.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other parties.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and developments.
• Review and analyze medical records, bills, expert reports, and other evidence.
• Prepare cases for trial, including exhibits, witnesses, motions in limine, and trial strategy.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage case files and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
• Represent clients professionally and advocate for their interests throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of attorney experience preferred.
• Significant personal injury litigation experience.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Active Texas Bar license required.
• Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and case deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
