The Sales Specialist supports the growth and execution of Core-Mark's foodservice programs through a combination of customer support, sales analytics, program coordination, and field execution. This role partners with sales teams, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to implement foodservice initiatives, manage sales reporting, coordinate promotions, and identify opportunities for business growth. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, customer-focused, and passionate about foodservice and sales performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support implementation and execution of foodservice programs, product launches, promotions, and training initiatives.
• Assist with foodservice demonstrations, sampling events, trade shows, and customer trainings.
• Conduct field visits with sales teams and suppliers to identify opportunities and support customer growth strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of foodservice products, trends, food safety practices, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate vendor promotions and support communication, planning, and execution for the sales team.
• Create, maintain, and analyze sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Monitor sales data accuracy across Salesforce and other reporting platforms.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports, including trend and variance analysis.
• Identify sales opportunities, performance gaps, and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Purchasing and Operations teams to support inventory planning and program execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and technical support to sales associates and leadership as needed.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of foodservice operations, food safety standards, and food preparation methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, training events, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree preferred in Business, Foodservice Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in foodservice, sales support, business analytics, food distribution, or related industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with an ability to manipulate raw data through formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Foodservice Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in foodservice, sales support, business analytics, food distribution, or related industries.
