What You'll Do The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities may include: Psychiatric Care Perform psychiatric evaluations, health histories, and mental health assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans. Provide medication management and prescribe medications within established guidelines. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications. Provide counseling and support when appropriate. Clinical Documentation & Compliance Complete timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Maintain accurate progress notes in accordance with Medicaid, Medicare, and agency requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and quality standards. Utilize appropriate coding and billing practices. Collaboration & Care Coordination Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and community partners. Coordinate patient care across internal and external providers. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary meetings. Assist with prior authorizations, prescription refills, and continuity of care.

Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: Compassionate Professional Collaborative Detail-Oriented Ethical Strong Communicator Patient-Focused Committed to Clinical Excellence Qualifications Required Current Registered Nurse (RN) License. Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner credentials as required). Current DEA registration. Current CPR certification. ACLS and PALS certifications. Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or similar healthcare setting. Experience providing psychiatric care. Skills & Competencies Strong psychiatric assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to manage a diverse patient population. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
