(Hybrid)Tasks & Responsibilities:Transform client requirements into effective and efficient operational plans.Responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality of technical work produced at your direction by analysts and consultants on projects.Develops and maintains strong client relationships.Perform research and quantitative analyses, conduct and coordinate studies and lead workshops.Present project results to senior management.Prepares proposals and pursuits, including the development of project methodologies, budgets and schedules.Leverage the knowledge and expertise of Deutsche Bahn's railway subject matter experts in our other consulting projects, where applicable.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation, Business Administration or similar (M.Sc.)At least 5 years of related experience with consulting for railway projects with focus on rail strategical transportation planning / urban planning / operations planning / route management etc.Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently; aptitude to quickly grasp new concepts and effectively produce results.Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.Experience in using MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for performing analyses and developing quantitative models.Passion for tackling complex challenges in mobility and railway transportation sector.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills.Preferred Skills and Experience:Proficiency using the dynamic rail simulation tool Rail Traffic Controller (RTC)Background in passenger and/or freight rail service planningBackground in railroad civil engineeringWorking Conditions and Travel:Successful candidate for Senior Consultant will be required to work on-site 5 days per week during on-boarding. Employees direct supervisor will determine a plan to transition hybrid work.After on-boarding is completed, the Senior Consultant may work from your home office and/or a well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
