About the Role:

The Line and Prep Cook plays a critical role in the culinary operations of our establishment by ensuring the timely and efficient preparation of high-quality food items. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in food preparation, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation, supporting the kitchen team in meeting customer satisfaction goals. This role demands flexibility, stamina, and a strong work ethic to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Ultimately, the Line and Prep Cook helps create an exceptional dining experience by delivering well-prepared dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards and customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food preparation environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary school training or certification.
• Experience with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of portion control and food cost management.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas, following all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or spoilage.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication.

Skills:

The required skills such as food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices are essential for daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and quality.
