Sales AssistantThe Sales Assistant plays a key role in supporting their sales manager by managing order execution, maintaining accurate product and order data, and coordinating communication across internal departments and external partners. This role helps ensure that purchase orders, samples, and production timelines are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting day-to-day sales operations and client needs.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced wholesale apparel environment. This role will participate in sales meetings, assist in preparing presentations, and support account management activities with major retail partners.ResponsibilitiesOrder Management & ProcessingProcess bulking orders and prepare order recaps for buyersPrepare and maintain buysheets and work with planning, production and merchandising teams to confirmEnter and revise orders including cost, delivery dates, quantities, account details, and PO splitsSend purchase orders to Order Entry and follow up to ensure accurate processingReview Orders Entered reports to confirm accuracy and completenessConfirm shortages or overages with Order Entry and overseas teams and communicate updates to buyersRequest revised POs or EDIs from buyers when neededProcess order reductions or increases based on buyer or vendor requestsProduction & Delivery CoordinationWork closely with production teams to ensure orders remain on schedule and meet delivery timelinesFollow up on production timelines (TNA) and monitor progress for open ordersCoordinate with overseas vendors and internal teams to resolve issues affecting order deliveryMonitor open order reports and review past cancel orders to determine next stepsWarehouse & Logistics CoordinationCommunicate regularly with warehouse, traffic, and imports teams regarding order status, routing, and shippingFollow up on tracers, pick tickets, BOLs, invoices, and packing lists when requested by buyersConfirm routing, shipping schedules, and portal requirements for accountsEnsure orders are picked and shipped according to buyer and portal requirementsSample & Product ManagementEnter and manage sample requests through PLM and AS400 systemsTrack sample requests and follow up with warehouses or overseas teams as neededProvide photos, TOP samples, CADs, and product information to buyers upon requestCoordinate with design teams for style numbers, trims, and product detailsSystems & ReportingMaintain accurate product and order information in PLM and internal systemsReview buyer spreadsheets and reports to ensure accuracy of informationMonitor reports for open orders, past cancel orders, NA styles, and order discrepanciesWork with IT to troubleshoot system or allocation issues when neededSales SupportAssist with sales calls, meetings, and presentations by taking notes and preparing follow-up recapsRespond to buyer inquiries and support account communication in a timely mannerSupport the sales team in identifying opportunities to increase sales through product promotions or inventory opportunitiesConduct market research and provide insights on product trends when applicableRequirements1–3 years of experience in wholesale apparel, merchandising, sales support, or production coordination preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teamsExperience working with ERP or PLM systems such as AS400 or OneWorldSync preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeHybrid Work Schedule 4 days a week in the office, Friday work from homeNew York Pay Rate $50,000 - $65,000 We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
