Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce client is seeking a Collections Specialist in Manhattan Beach, CA. This position is onsite Monday - Friday. Duties:

• Manage delinquent consumer loan and credit card accounts, including deficiency balance, bankruptcies, and charged -off accounts
• Conduct extensive skip tracing of debtors and collateral, evaluate risk, and determine appropriate resolution strategies
• Recommend and coordinate field chases, repossessions, legal actions, and charge-offs
• Manage high volume inbound and outbound calls using power dialer
• Generate Credit Bureau reports
• Exhaust all available recovery options when resolving delinquent account
• Protect assets by reducing delinquency and preventing financial loss
• Utilize computer systems to accurately enter, update and retrieve account information
• Deliver high quality customer service, including resolving account disputes, correcting misapplied payments, and processing payment modifications, note modifications, references and loan or credit card consolidations

Skills

• 1-3 years of loan adjustment experience
• Collections experience - banking Industry, knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to collections and handling of delinquent accounts
• Computer skills - Microsoft word, Excel Programs, Data Entry
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
• Skip tracing experience
• Ability to handle High call volume

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
